Key points
- Start EVERYTHING early, do a little at a time every week – free up time in December by setting a goal to be done (or mostly done) Christmas prep by December 1st!
- Most of us buy gifts early, BUT also wrap gifts as you go, so it doesn’t get overwhelming the week of Christmas or Christmas eve eve.
- Keeping a list of gifts you’ve bought can be a helpful reference so you don’t forget or loose track of who you’re done shopping for once things are wrapped, and out of sight
- If shipping items/gifts and require boxes/flat rate boxes, buy them early too! Then you don’t have to worry about making multiple trips to post offices to find what you need
- Buy tickets to festive activities early, you can sometime take advantage of early bird discounts AND this will help ensure you can get a preferred time slot
- Write your Christmas cards in November, address the envelopes and set aside to mail out Dec 1st
- Set a deadline/ cut off date for Santa gift requests, let your kiddos know that they can only make edits or additions to the wish list until a predetermined date
